The Brontes & Haworth

When the Rev. Patrick Brontë brought his wife and six very young children to Haworth Parsonage in 1820, he did not expect to outlive them all – nor did he expect three of his daughters to become world-famous novelists. This book summarises the family’s story of tragedy and success, as well as tak ing a look at the village which their fame changed for ever. For a chance to explore the countryside which inspired the Brontës, we have included an evocative moorland walk out from Haworth to the ruins of a farm that may have been the imaginary location of ‘Wuthering Heights’.
