Donald Ayres' Exmoor Revisited

In this new collection of paintings by acclaimed artist Donald Ayres he shows he has lost none of his sensitivity in capturing the changing seasons of a fast, and sadly, disappearing way of life. Once again the pages are almost crowded with his beautiful, detailed landscapes and animals.

From the tranquil inlet of Porlock Weir to the sweeping heather clad hills overlooking Minehead, or the mysterious wooded vales of Doone Country he leads us through his beloved, beautiful Exmoor.

In 1995 the author John Yeates, in his own book Exmoor An Endless View, gives Donald credit for being only one of two living painters depicting rural sports in this wild and exciting landscape.
