A Boot Up Wensleydale

Wensleydale, the central of the three main dales running through the Yorkshire Dales National Park, offers both easy and more challenging walking in magnificent surroundings. The wide green valley is overlooked by the high fells of Addlebrough and Wether Fell. The still waters of Semer Water lie hidden to the south of the main valley. A profusion of becks and streams drain into the main River Ure creating waterfalls galore.

In line with other books in the series a 10 walks have been selected with the majority being short and easy; suitable for a half day with the family, but also including a couple more challenging walks to give a taste of the fell walking also available. The walks explore both the riverbank and the remains of the lead mining heritage.
